The Placement Module Test Unit (PMTU) has been designed for off-line testing of FCM placement modules and/or Pick and Placement Units (PPUs), such that an on-line environment is simulated.

It consists of a test bench (base frame) on which two placement modules can be mounted in the same way it is done on a FCM machine.

Instead of the FCM's moving transport beam and carrier set for the PCB transport, the PMTU has a fixed PCB support table.



The PMTU has been designed to give you the possibility to examine a faulty or suspicious placement module while continuing production.

Checking a PPU or even only a tape feeder can also be easily done in this way.

The PMTU consists of a base frame with two placement modules mounting positions, and a personal computer configuration.
